Energy-storage provider Stryten Energy reports that it received a contract award from the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Family of Advanced Standard Batteries (FAStBat) project to develop and evaluate a prototype 6T lithium-ion battery and potentially extend the technology to other cross-service platforms.

WASHINGTON. The White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) urged developers to reduce the risk of cyberattacks by using programming languages that are not vulnerable to memory safety vulnerabilities and stop using less-secure languages, calling out C and C++ as examples of vulnerable ones.
