Best in Show awards selected at Xponential 2021

AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2021—ATLANTA, Ga. Military Embedded Systems is excited to announce the winners of our Best in Show Award contest, which we're holding for our supporters exhibiting at the 2021 AUVSI Xponential conference and exposition taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. Contest winners — drawn from military embedded systems exhibitors at the event — are recognized for the improved performance and innovation they bring to military unmanned systems applications.

Xponential, run by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), brings more than 8,500 industry leaders together focusing on unmanned technology. To learn more about Xponential visit https://www.xponential.org/xponential2021/public/enter.aspx.

For the Best in Show Award, four-star, three-star, and two-star recognition may be given in multiple categories, with four stars as the top recognition. Winning entries are based on the counsel of an independent committee of industry judges.

4-STAR AWARD:

Embedded Computing category:

Versalogic's Sabertooth (EPMe-51) PCIe/104 embedded computer board

The Sabertooth is a very compact, rugged PCIe/104 embedded computer board featuring an Intel Xeon high performance six-core processor and a high bandwidth 3-Bank Type 1 expansion interface. This supports the connection of peripherals, compute-offload, or graphics processing devices that require up to 16 high-speed PCIe Gen 3 lanes. High performance processing is moving out to the edge into unfriendly environments. The high-performance capability of the Sabertooth makes it ideal for situations where data gathering and processing need to be kept local for security, communication bandwidth, or latency reasons.  A rugged, high-performance, temperature-tolerant embedded computer is the answer. Sabertooth provides a unique solution for platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned undersea vehicles (UUVs), and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Its rugged design and combination of six-core processor Xeon-class processor with on-board fast read/write NVMe storage provides a foundational computing platform. The x16 PCIe expansion capability enables the computer to be tailored to very high bandwidth applications.
