CARLSBAD, Calif. Palomar Display Products has signed two contracts totaling $1.3 million with the U.S. Army to deliver military display systems for the Army's armored vehicles.

Under the terms of the agreement, Palomar Display Products will supply Next Generation Image Control Units (NGICU) that feature digital color and optically coupled display systems. These displays are designed, say company officials, to operate in the harshest mobile environments worldwide.

"These new design wins for our latest digital products to the U.S. Army's most advanced fighting again reaffirms Palomar's long-term position as the principal supplier of thermal sight displays for the armored vehicle market," stated Palomar Display Products president Paul Bell.

Deliveries under this contract will occur through 2019.
