U.S. Navy, USMC contract with ManTech for C4I, vehicle upgrade work

HERNDON, Va. Technology provider ManTech recently signed contracts -- worth a total of $104.5 million -- with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps in the area of acquisition, upgrades, and maintenance of advanced technical military vehicles.

ManTech's agreement with the Navy is an $82 million contract with the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic to augment command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) capabilities of U.S. Marine Corps combat vehicles. Under the contract, ManTech will perform systems engineering, software integration, and acquisition management support for SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic’s Vehicular Technology Transition Integrated Products Team (IPT) in support of the Digital Integration Facility (DIF).

The $22.5 million Marine Corps award will see ManTech responsible for research and development, design, acquisition, and full life cycle management of light, medium, and heavy tactical vehicles, as well as handling work on legacy wheeled vehicle systems and ancillary equipment used by the Marines. ManTech will also perform ongoing design upgrades that will support safety and protection measures, while improving vehicle fuel efficiency and performance in all driving conditions.
