U.S. Navy to use Tempus' Learjet for electronic warfare training

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. Department of Interior officials selected Tempus Jets Inc. ? a Tempus Applied Solutions Holdings Inc subsidiary ? to provide airborne electronic warfare threat simulation services in support of the Department of the Navy under its Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) role.

Under contract, Tempus will provide and fly its own modified Learjet 35A and Learjet 60 aircraft that will include threat simulation devices, target towing equipment, and communications. The aircraft will fly during Navy training and simulation exercises near U.S. Naval bases in the U.S. and Hawaii.

The five-year contract is valued at $25 million with services to begin later this year.
