U.S. Air Force D-ILS systems receives General Dynamics wireless communications

FAIRFAX, Va. The U.S. Air Force’s Deployable Instrument Landing System (D-ILS) will receive General Dynamics CM-300/350 V2 air traffic control (ATC) radios and the Fortress ES2440 high-capacity Mesh Point wireless backhaul radios.
The D-ILS – built by Thales – provides pilots with precision guidance during final landing approach in low-visibility or low-ceiling weather conditions. General Dynamic Mission Systems’ radios are VoIP, UHF, and VHF radios that are FAA approved for ground-to-air communications.
