Submarine mechanical and electronics systems support contract won by Alion

MCLEAN, Va. U.S. Navy officials at the Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, Virginia selected Alion Science and Technology to provide engineering, analytical, logistics, and technical support the submarine’s mechanical and electronics systems at MARMC.

Under contract, Alion will specifically provide equipment and system experience including troubleshooting, repair, assessment, analysis and inspection, and maintenance training. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is valued at an estimated $63 million.

“We are committed to helping the Navy prepare for potential threats to national security, which includes supporting MARMC’s plan to maintain and modernize the systems on its fleet of submarines,” says Greg Bryant, Alion Manager of the Integration Solutions Group.
