Smartphone, tablets securely connected via collaboration from Raytheon, Twisted Pair Solutions

SAN DIEGO. Engineers at Raytheon and Twisted Pair Solutions in Seattle have joined hands to develop software that will enable hand held communications across multiple devices.

WAVE software from Twisted Pair will be integrated with Raytheon's Interoperability Server -- enabling and tablets to securely connect to existing Land Mobile (LMR) infrastructure and allowing existing infrastructure to expand and securely transmit voice and data via 4G/ devices. The target application area for this solution is first responders. It will allow fire, police, and emergency rescue workers to communicate with each other regardless of the device they are using.

Raytheon's server delivers interoperability between LMR (including P25 via ISSI), landline and VoIP phones, and 4G/LTE. WAVE is a multi- interoperability and mobile workforce communications tool that enables the integration of existing and future technologies.
