TIGARD, OR. Sensoray has released a compact and robust USB-compatible audio/video codec – the Model 2253P. The unit is powered from a single USB port, and is capable of producing two different video streams simultaneously.

The Model 2253P is well-suited for use in applications such as radar and sonar processing, remote video surveillance, traffic monitoring, and video pipeline inspection. The unit can also be used as a decoder to convert the compressed A/V stream into audio signals and analog video, as well as offering closed-captioning.

Two incremental encoder interfaces and a GPS receiver are accessible through two RJ-45 sockets. Each multifunction interface can be used independently to operate as an incremental encoder interface or as two digital inputs. When the unit is used as two digital inputs, each input is able to pause/resume capture of a video stream.

Additionally, encoder counts, GPS data, overlay images, and text up to 160 characters can be displayed over the composite video output, previews, or the recorded streams.
