Rockwell Collins' avionics system selected to modernize Chilean navy's P-3 Orion

VINA DEL MAR, Chile. IMP Aerospace selected Rockwell Collins' Flight2 integrated avionics systems for the Chilean navy’s cockpit modernization program for its P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft.

Work on installing and integrated the system into the aircraft will be performed within IMP's Halifax, Nova Scotia facilities in Canada. Under contract, Rockwell Collins engineers will provide on-site field service engineering and logistic support to IMP during the aircraft modifications and testing process.

The Flight2 integrated avionics suite integrates new-generation avionics with legacy sensors, radios, autopilot, and aircraft systems.
