Raytheon to provide security solution along Jordanian border for DTRA
DULLES, Va. Raytheon Co. won a Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) border security contract with a value of $35.9 million. Under the contract Raytheon engineers will design, develop, and implement an integrated surveillance system along different parts of the Jordanian border. Raytheon also will provide equipment, training, and maintenance and repair.
Raytheon will offer open architecture solutions that use equipment and sensors best suited to an individual country's requirements, company officials say.
Raytheon previously provided cooperative threat reduction work for various DTRA contracts. One was the CTR Integrating Contract (CTRIC II), awarded in the Spring of 2011 and the Jordan project is part of CTRIC II.
