WASHINGTON. Raytheon engineers announced the company's wearable computing Intel-Ops solution at the AUSA 2014 Meeting and Exposition this week. The new solution merges a wearable computer system with Raytheon's situational awareness capabilities to provide an enhanced real-time view of the battlefield.

The new Intelligence and Operations Convergence system integrates tech from existing Programs of Record such as the company's deployed Air Warrior wearable computing technologies and marries it with the DCGS-A Lite capability that enables troops to receive intelligence and generate new intelligence as they perform missions in bandwidth-challenged areas.

The new system has been selected for demonstration to U.S. Special Forces later this month.
