PICMG officials announce MicroTCA Workshop to be held at DESY campus

WAKEFIELD, Mass. PICMG officials are holding the sixth MicroTCA Workshop at the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) campus in Hamburg, Germany from December 4-7th 2017.

Participants have the opportunity to learn about the latest applications of MicroTCA in research facilities, showcase new products and developments, and network with others in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. The venue is held at the DESY campus will include the Center for Free Electron LASER Science (CFEL) building for the main event.

The conference-style includes short presentations and tutorials on developments using the MicroTCA open standard architecture. Part of the workshop is dedicated for an industry exhibition and an interoperability session.

DESY and the MicroTCA Technology Lab have a strong focus on MTCA.4, which features specific provisions for the High Energy Physics market. However, MicroTCA Workshops remains open to everyone involved in MicroTCA, regardless of the version of the standard.
