Patriot missile equipment sale to U.S. Army nabs Lockheed Martin $6.07 billion contract

DALLAS. Lockheed Martin has won a contract worth $6.07 billion from the U.S. Army for the production of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors and associated equipment.
Under the terms of the contract, Lockheed Martin will produce and deliver PAC-3 MSE interceptors, launcher modification kits, equipment, and support for U.S. and global users. According to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama; Camden, Arkansas; Ocala, Florida; Chelmsford, Massachusetts; Grand Prairie and Lufkin, Texas; and Archbald, Pennsylvania, with completion in June 2027.
The Patriot [Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target] under contract comprises the missile portion of the Patriot air defense system; Raytheon produces the missile's launcher system and radar tracker.
