PASADENA, Calif. U.S. Air Force officials selected Jacobs Engineering Group to provide Patriot Excalibur (PEX) software and systems engineering support in a three-year contract valued at an estimated $36.5 million.

Under contract, engineers will help maintain the PEX software, deliver system engineering services, and support field implementations to manage and track unit readiness of operations for more than 1,000 flying, non-flying and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) units.

PEX – based on Agile software development methodology – enables the integration of various functional areas of a squadron organization, improves the ability to share information, and improves situational awareness across operations.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 will appraise the services delivered by Jacobs.
