ATLANTA, Ga. TECHWAY, high-speed signal and video acquisition company, announced a new family of optical FPGA Mezzanine Cards (FMC) at the 2020 Embedded Tech Trends (ETT) event. ETT is an industry-wide forum where electronics suppliers can meet with members of relevant industry media to discuss technologies, trends, and products.

TECHWAY's optical FMCs have been designed for the purpose of supporting advanced communications as required by Xilinx 6 Series, 7 Series, UltraScale, and UltraScale+ FPGA families.

According to TECHWAY, the FMCs are fully compliant with VITA 57.1 and VITA 57.4 standards to match with all carrier boards with FMC connectors, are ready-to-integrate solutions, and offer advanced features such as the possibility to operate several different protocols concurrently with a programmable multi-clock generator.

WildcatFMCs are based on RADIALL D-Lightsys technology and are intended to be Mil-Aero oriented, while TigerFMCs are based on SAMTEC FireFly technology and are designed with industrial needs in mind. The two FMCs are intended to meet both defense and industrial methods of ruggedization.

Among other industry segments, the TigerFMC and WildcatFMC cards are primarily designed for radar, sonar, electronic warfare, telecommunications, video broadcast and switching, avionics, etc.
