NuWaves Power Amplifier extends range of advanced communication systems

WASHINGTON. NuWaves Engineering introduced the NuPower Xtender linear bi-directional S-band Power Amplifier (PA) at the 2013 Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) conference. The NuPower Xtender generates an average power of 6 W, and can produce over 10 W of peak saturated power.

The NuPower Xtender integrates analog pre-distortion linearization technology, helping extend the range of advanced communication systems. Linearization reduces the amount of power “back-off” required to use data links that feature amplitude-modulated waveforms, which results in greater power efficiencies. The PA system operates between 2,200 MHz - 2,500 MHz.

At 6.9 cubic inches, the nickel-plated aluminum NuPower Xtender is rugged and compact, and weighs less than six ounces. For more information on the NuPower Xtender PA, visit nuwaves-ltd.com/nupower-xtender-linear-bidirectional-s-band-power-amplifier/.
