NAVAIR orders airborne self-protection jammers for IDECM program

MELBOURNE, Fla. The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has ordered self-protection jammers from Harris for its integrated defensive electronic countermeasures (IDECM) program. The order totals an estimated $97 million.

Under contract, Harris will deliver its ALQ-214 radio frequency integrated countermeasure system, including field support and assembly repairs. They will also begin producing the 12th full-rate production lot of the system, with an option for the 13th lot in the fiscal year of 2016.
