CHELMSFORD, MA. Mercury Systems has announced its new Ethernet protocols for cluster computing, switched fabrics, and sensor I/O used in OpenVPX-based High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) subsystems.

“Mercury infuses huge compute power through the deployment of server-class processors in our OpenVPX and Ethernet-based offerings. Our subsystems greatly expand bandwidth with an advanced interconnect technology, which also limits cross-talk and insertion-loss between the backplane, and compute and payload modules deliver a performance boost,” says VP of Mercury Systems, Leon Woo.

The inclusion of Ethernet into Mercury’s OpenVPX subsystems ensures users can do more with the applications. Also included in the Ensemble OpenVPX subsystems is Intel Xeon server-class processing and wideband interconnects.
