Kuwait upgrades its Patriot Air and Missile Defense System

ANDOVER, Mass. Raytheon engineers will upgrade the State of Kuwait?s Patriot Air and Missile Defense System to the Configuration 3+, the most modern system currently fielded. The contract, awarded by the U.S. Army, is valued at an estimated $523 million.
Upgrades in the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System Configuration 3+ include improved Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) capability and radar search.
Ralph Acaba, Raytheon vice president of Integrated Air and Missile Defense says, “Kuwait and other members of the 13-nation strong Patriot Partnership continue to invest in the system and trust Patriot to defend their citizens and militaries.”
