HOUSTON. Government-services contractor KBR has agreed to acquire Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, Inc. (SGT), a company that provides technology solutions, engineering services, mission operations, and scientific/ IT software in the U.S. government-services market. SGT has a distinguished heritage delivering technology solutions and services to the U.S. government for space programs, national security and civilian operations.

KBR officials believe that the addition of SGT solidifies KBR's position as an established leader in human space exploration and opens up significant new opportunities in both military and commercial space exploration.

KBR expects that SGT will become a business unit within KBRwyle and that it will maintain SGT's current management structure so as to keep continuity of services to customers.
