ROCHESTER, NY. An undisclosed NATO nation has awarded Harris Corporation with a $36 million order for Falcon High-Frequency (HF) tactical radios. The Falon II AN/PRC-150 HF radio will be provided to the country’s special forces, in both manpack and vehicular configurations.

The Falcon II provides Type-1 secure data and voice communications for beyond-line-of-sight environments. These high-frequency radios will help the military personnel to stay connected, even in the most unforgiving geographies, says President of International Business for Harris RF Communications, Brendan O’Connell. "The AN/PRC-150 has set the international standard for interoperability as the most widely deployed HF radio. We now are focused on extending that legacy into the next generation," O’Connell continues.
