Counter-UAV market will grow to $5.47 billion by 2028, study says

AMSTERDAM. The global counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) market -- estimated to stand at approximately $1.8 billion in 2020, is expected to grow to $5.47 billion by 2028, according to a new study from Market Forecast, "Global Counter-UAV (C-UAV) Systems -- Market and Technology Forecast to 2028."
According to the report, the C-UAV market is expected to experience a CAGR of around 13%, with ground-based C-UAV platforms expected to continue to dominate the market. Ground-based platforms include both fixed and vehicle-mounted platforms.
The study's authors also found that one of the major factors driving growth in the C-UAV market is the cost-effective nature of projectiles used by C-UAV systems, which are much less expensive than those used by conventional missile defense.
