Communications companies partner for C5I task order for Navy

DAYTON, Ohio and HOLLYWOOD, Md. IT and national-security firms MacAulay-Brown (MacB) and Smartronix are set to partner on a tactical and remote command, control, communications, computers, collaboration, and intelligence (C5I) Edge Systems (TARCES) task order for the U.S. Navy.

Under the terms of the contract, MacB will provide technical expertise to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS). The MacB team of specialized engineers and tactical program managers will work with Smartronix to provide a spectrum of command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities from inception through end-of-life on a variety of fielded equipment to assist the warfighter. Tasks undertaken will be analysis, fabrication and prototyping, integration and installation, and logistical services, along with research, development, test, and evaluation services of all telecommunication and C5I systems, subsystems, and components.

All work is intended to be performed in Maryland at the Naval Air Station--Patuxent River.
