Carnegie Robotics & Swift Navigation showcase Duro, a GNSS receiver at Xponential 2017

DALLAS. Carnegie Robotics LLC and Swift Navigation partnered to develop their first joint product, Duro, a ruggedized version of Swift Navigation?s Piksi Multi dual-frequency RTK GNSS receiver. The release of the product was made at this year's Xponential, the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International?s (AUVSI) conference.

Duro combines a rugged enclosure with centimeter-accurate positioning. It leverages design principles used in military hardware, the GNSS sensor is protected against weather, moisture, vibration, dust, water immersion and unexpected circumstances that can occur in outdoor long-term deployments.

Swift Navigation solutions utilize real-time kinematics (RTK) technology. DURO incorporates Piksi Multi and builds on precision GNSS capabilities for the mass market. Features include weatherproof external enclosure design with M12 standard-sealed connectors, on-board MEMS IMU and magnetometer, and has an IP67 rating.
