Astro Aerospace will provide L-band mesh reflectors for Inmarsat 6 satellites

CARPINTERIA, Calif. Northrop Grumman's business unit, Astro Aerospace will provide Airbus Defence and Space with nine meter L-band mesh reflectors for two Inmarsat 6 satellites.
The nine meter L-band reflectors will help the Inmarsat 6 satellites provide mobile connections to ships, planes, oil and gas platforms, and the broadcasting industry, says John A. Alvarez, general manager, Astro Aerospace.
Astro Aerospace's partnership with Airbus Defence and Space began on Inmarsat 4 and Alphasat. Astro Aerospace’s AstroMesh technology is well suited for Inmarsat 6’s L-band capacity, officials say.
