Aircraft-support contract for global Army operations won by Leidos

RESTON, Va. Leidos has secured a spot in a large contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone to provide global aircraft logistics and maintenance in theaters of operations.

The multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm-fixed-price contract has a five-year base period of performance, one five-year option ordering period, and a total potential value of $25.5 billion.

Under the terms of the Leidos contract, the company will support rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft across the globe for the U.S. Army's Multi-National Aviation Special Project Office, with the support services including sustainment engineering, supplies, maintenance planning, and management; furnishing or maintaining support equipment; aircraft modifications; manpower and personnel; facilities and infrastructure; and packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.

Work under the contract will be done mostly in Afghanistan and Greece in support of U.S. Army operations.
