AI in warfare book released

AUSTIN, Texas. At this years' Time Machine 2018 (TM18) conference, SparkCognition officials released a new book titled: ?Hyperwar: Conflict and Competition in the AI Century,? a collection of essays by defense and emerging tech leaders that addresses the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in warfare today and in the future.

"Artificial intelligence will fundamentally change the way we wage war," stated General John R. Allen, USMC (Ret.) in a SparkCognition release. "With sophisticated AI systems, the speed of warfare will increase to a pace we are currently unable to anticipate. In the Hyperwar era, speed will define a country's dominance in battle, and we cannot risk lagging behind."

The book “addresses the global race for AI dominance in defense and national security and provides approaches to how U.S. leaders in policy and military can prepare for the new era” according to SparkCognition.

The book highlights the ethical, operational, technological, and professional aspects of utilizing AI for war. The book features essays from:
