PrismTech Partners with ANTs to Enhance Quality-of-Service, Real-Time Information, and Database Products for Net-Centric Operations and Warfare Systems

PrismTech — January 22, 2007

Network Centric Warfare Conference, Washington, D.C., January 22, 2007--PrismTech, a leading provider of software platforms and tools, has partnered with ANTs Software inc. (OTCBB: ANTS), a leader in high-performance SQL database management systems, to provide ‘pre-integrated' real-time, QoS-enabled, information management products for Network Centric Operations & Warfare (NCOW) systems integrators. The partnership will initially focus on the integration of PrismTech's OpenFusion® RTOrb Java™ Edition (CORBA®) middleware and OpenSplice™ Data Distribution Service (DDS) products and the ANTs Data Server version 3.60.

The collaboration between PrismTech and ANTs is a result of the two companies working together as suppliers to Raytheon Co. (RTN) on the DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Destroyer Program. For DDG 1000, Raytheon has assembled a team of large and small businesses to provide affordable and innovative solutions for the program.

PrismTech and ANTs undertake this collaboration to further COTS product pre-integration as other IT vendors seek to better serve DDG 1000 and other DoD programs.

“It is our hope that this partnership will foster a network effect in which other innovative businesses will undertake additional integration of their leading, open standards-based technologies to promote a seamless marriage of non-real-time and real-time data,” said Keith Steele, CEO of PrismTech. “This strategy can provide outstanding COTS product support to help meet the stringent QoS requirements at the tactical edge of the DoD's Global Information Grid.”

Working together, PrismTech and ANTs are targeting products supporting open standards such as the real-time specification for Java, the OMG's CORBA and DDS specifications, database industry standards, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) middleware standards to help eliminate the traditional barriers created by proprietary products and thus facilitate seamless data exchange.

“Addressing the needs of the network-centric operations segment by connecting the two worlds of QoS-driven, real-time data distribution and relational databases presents a significant business opportunity,” said Joe Kozak, president and CEO of ANTs Software. “This integration can allow both enterprise and embedded/real-time applications to share and access data in the most natural way, making access to the right information, at the right time, in the right place a reality.”
