Octagon Systems has announced the Fleet CORE M™, a rugged computer that excels in demanding applications requiring more robust I/O connectors.The total integrated thermal design provides fanless operation over a -30°C to 70°C temperature range. The Fleet CORE M incorporates the field-proven, Octagon Hedgehog© power supply technology providing superior protection for noisy and unstable mobile applications.


The versatility, reliability and processing power of the Fleet CORE M make it ideally suited for size, weight and power constrained applications.

Standard I/O includes:

• Ethernet – 10/100/1000 Mb Ethernet ports

• USB – two 2.0 ports

• COM – two one RS-232 and one RS-422 or 485

• Video – DVI-D, with resolutions to 1920 x 1440

• Digital I/O – four inputs and two outputs with common ground

• GPS – 50 channel, fast lock

• Ignition switch input – insures smart shutdown of the operating system, protecting data

• Internal card slots - PC/104 Plus, Mini PCI expansion

The Fleet CORE M is compatible with many operating systems, including Linux and XPe. Linux and XPe can be supplied pre–installed and configured under OEM contract.
