Rockville, MD – June 10, 2010 — To support its growing presence in the federal arena, Micro Focus® (LSE.MCRO.L), a leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management and modernization solutions, today announced its appointment of Tod Tompkins to Vice President of Federal Sales.

Tod brings more than 24 years of IT expertise to the Micro Focus team. A seasoned leader with a background in direct sales, channel sales and marketing within the federal government and systems integration sectors, Tod is well positioned to lead Micro Focus into its next phase of growth. He is highly regarded for his dedication to customers’ needs and his understanding of the unique requirements of the government customer.

Before joining Micro Focus, Tod served as Director of Federal Sales at EMC, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s public sector business. Among other positions, Tod also served in a federal sales role at Microsoft, managing the company’s Civilian Science & Energy business vertical. Tod is a graduate of George Mason University, where he received a BS in Public Administration.
