Chassis Plans and Component Sourcing Group, a Hispanic Woman Owned 8(a) Firm, Enter SBA Mentor Protege Program Agreement
|Military Grade Rackmount Computer|
Chassis Plans, The Original Industrial Computer Source®, and Component Sourcing Group of Tustin, CA, announce they have been officially approved under the SBA Mentor Protege program where Chassis Plans will mentor CSG in industrial rackmount computer design, integration, and marketing. Both companies joined this prestigious program in response to their Federal customer's efforts to increase the level of participation by small businesses in government contracting.
Chassis Plans and Component Sourcing Group are excited about this Mentor Protege Agreement as it provides a unique vehicle to offer federal customers the combined resources, financing, and business systems of both companies while having the ability to operate as a single small business entity. According to Dan Swoish, Vice President of Component Sourcing Group, "The power of this relationship supplies a strong capability to perform in large, complex military projects and programs."
"CSG has a long history of providing component level support the Chassis Plans and has been instrumental in our success with finding out of production products required by spec into some of our military contracts. Expanding this relationship to assist them in learning higher level support and integration will strengthen our end-user support." said Steve Travis, VP Sales for Chassis Plans.
Marc DeMatteo, Chassis Plans' General Manager added, "Chassis Plans and CSG have a common vision for quality, integrity, and success and our capabilities nicely complement each other. We've worked well together on numerous projects over the last several years, so we're thrilled to formalize our relationship under this Mentor Protege agreement to provide greater access and support to our customers."
The intent of the SBA's Mentor Protege Program is to enhance and strengthen the capabilities of the small business protege through mentoring activities to improve its opportunities to successfully compete for various government contracts, and ultimately transition into larger prime contracting opportunities. This Mentor Protege Agreement is a valuable tool in support of the Government's small business initiatives and the desire to stimulate economic development through increased small business utilization. The combined entity gains the advantages of each firm; 8(a) contracting advantage of the Protege with the experience and capabilities of the larger Mentor.
