Luxul Wireless Joins AFCEA as Corporate Member
Lindon, UT – February 10, 2009 — Luxul Wireless, a leading innovator of patented high-performance wireless signal technologies, has joined the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) as a corporate member. As a member of AFCEA, Luxul Wireless will gain greater visibility of its government-related high-performance wireless solutions to the U.S. defense, intelligence, security and other government agencies.
“As a recognized leader in wireless networking and radio frequency signal technologies, Luxul Wireless has been fortunate to be involved in several DoD and government programs,” said Tyler Crawford, CEO of Luxul Wireless. “Through membership in AFCEA we intend to strengthen existing and develop new relationships with defense contractors and DoD personnel, and to further partner with them in developing wireless technologies to meet their real world application needs.”
AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security.
Luxul Wireless designs technology that is used to increase wireless network coverage and performance while also reducing network complexity. Recent Luxul developments for use in military applications include the Shock-WAVTM Frequency Translating Amplifier (FTA) which is used to translate public band signals into military bands and transmitting those signals over long distances. Luxul has also recently introduced a series of high gain antennas that operate in the 4.4 – 4.6GHz military band. In addition to DoD and Government applications, Luxul products are used worldwide in industry, hospitality, medical, and other markets requiring large wireless network installations.
“AFCEA International is excited to have Luxul Wireless join as a corporate member,” said Curt Adams, Director of Member and Chapter Services, AFCEA International. “AFCEA corporate membership affords companies many benefits, including corporate associate membership, subscription to SIGNAL Magazine, and increased visibility in the C4, Intelligence, and IT communities. In addition, Luxul benefits from corporate visibility at the local level by participating in Chapter activities, working side-by-side with government counterparts at Chapter events, and being recognized as an active AFCEA supporter at the Chapter level.”
Luxul Wireless will take part in several upcoming AFCEA events, including the West conference/exposition to be held in San Diego February 11-13, 2009.
