The non-RTP driver is provided with source code at no cost with standard MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC interface cards. “This new driver support enables our customers to quickly integrate Alta 1553 and ARINC products in to their real-time, VxWorks embedded application. When combined with our advanced application program interface tool kit, AltaAPI™ , and our cards full featured AltaCore™ protocol engine, the customer receives the very latest, state of the art avionics performance.” states Rich Wade, Chief Technical Officer of Alta.

Altas 1553 and ARINC interface cards are available for most standard backplanes (including commercial and rugged embedded/conductioned cooled systems) such as PCI/PCI-X/PCI Express, PMC/VME/VPX, PMC/CompactPCI, PCCARD/PCMCIA, PC104-Plus systems (and coming soon with native products for PCI Express, PCI ExpressCard, XMC and PCI104-Express).
